It is Cash for Kids Northern Ireland’s mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by illness, poverty, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
PRM partnered with the charity for their first golf day on Friday 15th September at Shandon Park Golf Club, Belfast, to help raise vital funds to ensure they can continue helping local disadvantaged children.
In keeping with the charity’s fun and friendly ethos, the day was a relaxed gathering of golf enthusiasts all looking to having a good time whilst supporting a great cause. The day began with breakfast baps in the club house, followed by a shotgun start at 12 noon. There were various prizes to be won throughout the day such as ‘beat the pro’, ‘closest to the gin’ and a ‘hole in one’ prize of £20,000 was up for grabs (but unfortunately remains unclaimed)! The rain persisted all day forcing the golfers to retire before the 18th hole, when they returned to the club house for fish & chips, an auction, raffle & prize giving.
A great day was had by all, despite the persistent rain, raising an incredible £17,750 which will enable the charity to help 355 local disadvantaged children!
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported Cash For Kids.
